Calibrated  / a Zero brief

Is AI access being restricted by who you are?

Brief 01 · What's actually true: rated & sourced
FACT — documented / in force TREND — real direction, not universal EXTRAPOLATION — plausible, not yet fact DEAD / FALSE — proposed-and-killed or untrue

How we got here

Tap any point. Each one carries its real status and a source — scrub the whole pattern.

The verdict, claim by claim

The fears, steel-manned, then rated honestly.

The one chokepoint — and the way out

Every restriction above works at the same single point: your dependence on a US-controlled provider, chip, or a model you don't own. The export rules govern transfer, provision, and shipment — so a model already on your own disk is outside all of it, by construction.

Own the weights, run them local, and there is no gate to be denied at. Frontier-class open-weight models are explicitly carved out of the controls — downloadable by anyone, anywhere, no geo-check, no ID:

That's not a workaround you have to trust — it's the structural design of the rules. The more the gated internet asks for ID, the more a sovereign, owned, offline stack is worth.

Receipts

Primary and primary-adjacent. Read them yourself — that's the point.
