P0352 — Ignition Coil B Primary/Secondary Circuit

CAUTIONIs it safe to drive? Same as P0351 — cylinder B will likely be misfiring; get it fixed soon, especially if the CEL is flashing.

What P0352 means

Coil B circuit fault detected. The ECM didn't see the expected voltage waveform back from ignition coil B when it commanded a spark event. Could be the coil, the connector, or the wiring between the ECM and the coil.

Most likely causes (in order)

  1. Coil-on-plug unit failed
  2. Connector corroded or broken pin
  3. Spark plug worn and causing coil to overwork
  4. Wiring harness chafed or shorted
  5. ECM coil driver circuit (diagnose everything else first)

Symptoms you might notice

What to check first

Check coil primary resistance with a multimeter — most COP coils measure 0.5–2 ohms primary. An open or short reading confirms a failed coil before you pull it off the car.
