Ford / Lincoln CAUTION
The front O2 sensor on bank 1 is reading lean and not switching rich/lean fast enough, so the PCM is adding fuel to compensate. Almost always a real lean condition, not just a bad sensor.
- Dirty/contaminated MAF sensor ($0 clean, $50-150 replace)
- Vacuum/intake leak ($0-200)
- Low fuel pressure / clogged filter ($20-100)
- Lazy upstream O2 sensor ($50-150)
Check first: Clean the MAF first, then smoke-test for vacuum leaks; watch live fuel trims — high positive LTFT confirms lean.
