Dodge / Jeep / Ram / Chrysler CAUTION
The engine isn't reaching operating temperature in the expected time — almost always a thermostat stuck open. Causes poor fuel economy, weak heat, and can keep the PCM in open-loop. Drivable but should be fixed.
- Stuck-open thermostat ($15-60)
- Faulty ECT sensor reading low ($20-60)
- Low coolant ($10-40)
Check first: Watch coolant temp warm-up rate; if it's slow or caps low, replace the thermostat (most common).
