🔌
Reading codes on this truck: a generic ELM327/Bluetooth dongle reads only powertrain (P) codes. ABS, airbag, and body faults (B/C/U codes) plus bidirectional tests need a GM-capable tool (Tech2 or Autel). The good news — a 2007 has no Secure Gateway, so the bus is fully open to any capable scanner.
What do you want to do?
The factory Bose system map
Audio RPO UQA = Bose. The amp + console subwoofer live inside the center console (not the rear quarter) and take real teardown to reach — pull the radio-amp fuse first.
8th VIN digit = your engine
It's the 8th character of the 17-digit VIN. Tap one or type it.
RPO / SPID sticker — it's inside the glovebox
The 10th VIN digit is the year (7 = 2007). AFM has no separate RPO — it's built into the LMG/LY5 engine.
