What P0449 means

The EVAP canister vent solenoid has failed or is sticking, or its circuit is faulty. Emissions-only; commonly debris-fouled on GM trucks/SUVs.

  1. Vent solenoid failed/stuck ($30-120)
  2. Debris/dirt in the valve
  3. Wiring/connector corrosion
  4. Charcoal canister
